Ostrava Ostrava is the third biggest city in the Czech Republic. It is an important industrial area with urban conservation. The oldest monument in Ostrava is the Church of St Wenceslav from the 13th century.

The Old and New Town Hall The Old Town Hall is from the 16th century and served as the town hall until 1930. Today there is the Museum of Ostrava. The New City Hall was building in years 1925 – 1930 and serve as the town hall since 1931. It has a 86 meters high tower, which offers a beautiful view of the city.
Vlastimil Brodský (1920-2002) Vlastimil Brodský was a famous Czech actor and longtime member of the acting group in Vinohrady Theatre in Prague. He played for example in the movie Noc na Karlštejně a nd series Arabela.
Marine aquarium Ostrava Sea Aquarium is the largest marine aquarium in the region. It offers a permanent exhibition of marine and freshwater fauna and flora. There you can see not just the inhabitants of the ocean, but also the reptiles from Africa as well as monkeys from South America.
The World of Miniatures The World of M iniatures gives you the chance to see miniature models of famous buildings of the world. It's a fun little town made up of more than 30 miniatures in scale 1:25. You can find here for example Eiffel tower, Big Ben, Brandenburg Gate, and Leaning Tower of Pisa.
ZOO Ostrava The zoo was opened on 1st May in 1960. There is 2884 animals. The most popular species are elephants, giraffes, rhinos, tigers, hippos. In 2011, the first elephant calf in the Czech Republic was born here. Baby elephant is named Rashmi.
NATO days NATO days in Ostrava are the biggest air, military and security actions in the Central Europe. During NATO days the Czech Republic and its allies present to the public means that they use for ensuring security. They are held every year in Leoš Janáček Airport Ostrava.
