My Trip to the West By: Linnea Anderson

Travel Plan In my travel plan I will fly to California and go snorkeling stay at a hotel for a day. The next day I will go to Yosemite. I will stay in California for a week then I will fly to Hawaii. In Hawaii I will go swimming then the next day I will go see the Hawaiian volcanoes.

I would love to go to… Hawaii. I would like to go to Hawaii because I've never been there before and it is always warm. I would also like to see the coastal plains and the Plateau. While I am in the west I would also like to see California. I have never been there and I would like to go snorkeling.

Packing There are a lot of things I would like to pack like… Camera Socks Shoes Shorts T-shirt Books Water Bathing suit

What I would do I would love to go to the Hawaiian Volcanoes and see all the beautiful sites there and I would go to the beaches and have fun there. I might also go to the Hawaiian waters adventure park.

Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park This amazing Hawaii attraction offers 25 acres of every kind of swirling, churning, bubbling, and fun activities that you could imagine, ranging from exciting water slides, swirling rapids, a wave pool super big you can body surf, and even a sedate inner-tubing river! How does a seven-story water slide sound? Hawaiian Waters has two! If that's too much, there's always the four-and-a-half story model. With plenty of places to eat, rest, play volleyball, watch other people enjoy themselves, and stock up on souvenirs, Hawaiian Waters is the perfect excursion for the entire family, a place where you'll find all the good, clean fun you can handle. This is an exciting Hawaii fun park. As for theme parks in Hawaii this is the only one of it’s kind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I will do In California I would love to go snorkeling I will also go to visit Yosemite National Park. I think this trip will be fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

California Snorkeling With broad expanses of the Pacific Ocean nearby, San Diego offers some excellent snorkeling opportunities. La Jolla Coves and the La Jolla ecological preserve are some of the most popular spots for San Diego snorkeling. Both of these spots feature shallow coral reefs and underwater kelp forests that are perfect for exploring. Additionally, a number of interesting marine animals make their homes in the waters near San Diego, such as the leopard shark, which although a frightening 5 feet long, only has a harmless 2 inch mouth. This is also one of the few places to see an endangered fish called the giant black sea bass. Sea lions and harbor seals are also common in this area and can be the highlight of any snorkeling in San Diego trip. From Google

Yosemite National Park Yosemite National Park, 761,266 acres (308,205 hectares), E central Calif.; est. 1890 as a result of the efforts of conservationist John Muir. Located in the Sierra Nevada, it is a glacier-scoured area of great beauty; Mt. Lyell (13,114 ft/3,997 m) is the highest peak. Enclosed within the park is the famed Yosemite Valley (alt. c.4,000 ft/1,200 m), surrounded by cliffs and pinnacles; Half Dome, which reaches a height of c.4,800 ft (1,463 m) above the valley and El Capitan, which rises perpendicularly c.3,600 ft (1,097 m) above the valley, are the highest of the surrounding peaks. The world's three largest monoliths of exposed granite are found in the park. There are also many lakes, rivers, streams, and waterfalls, the most noted of which is Yosemite Falls, the highest in North America, with a drop of 2,425 ft (739 m) in two segments; Ribbon Falls has a 1,612- ft (491-m) drop From GoogleMuir
