10 ASSESSMENT POTENTIAL CANDIDATES FOR DIRECT CARE EMPLOYMENT WOULD BE ADMINISTERED THE ON-LINE JOB FIT ASSESSMENT THROUGH THE MICHIGAN WORKS ONE STOP SERVICE CENTER LOCATED IN SOUTH CENTRAL MICHIGAN WORKS SERVICE AREA – INTIAL PHASE, EVENTUALLY STATEWIDEPOTENTIAL CANDIDATES FOR DIRECT CARE EMPLOYMENT WOULD BE ADMINISTERED THE ON-LINE JOB FIT ASSESSMENT THROUGH THE MICHIGAN WORKS ONE STOP SERVICE CENTER LOCATED IN SOUTH CENTRAL MICHIGAN WORKS SERVICE AREA – INTIAL PHASE, EVENTUALLY STATEWIDE

11 CAREER COUNSELING CAREER COUNSELORS WOULD REVIEW RESULTS WITH POTENTIAL CANDIDATES AND ENROLL POTENTIAL DIRECT CARE WORKERS IN PRE- EMPLOYMENT ORIENTATION WORKSHOP PROGRAMSCAREER COUNSELORS WOULD REVIEW RESULTS WITH POTENTIAL CANDIDATES AND ENROLL POTENTIAL DIRECT CARE WORKERS IN PRE- EMPLOYMENT ORIENTATION WORKSHOP PROGRAMS

12 COMPLETION OF PRE- EMPLOYMENT ORIENTATION PROCESS CANDIDATES WOULD COMPLETE A PROGRAM SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO ACQUAINT THEM WITH THE DAILY WORK REQUIREMENTS OF A DIRECT CARE WORKER INCLUSIVE OF THE POPULATION FOR WHICH THEY SERVE, SERVICES PROVIDED, WORKING ENVIRONMENT, CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AS WELL AS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT POSSIBLITIESCANDIDATES WOULD COMPLETE A PROGRAM SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO ACQUAINT THEM WITH THE DAILY WORK REQUIREMENTS OF A DIRECT CARE WORKER INCLUSIVE OF THE POPULATION FOR WHICH THEY SERVE, SERVICES PROVIDED, WORKING ENVIRONMENT, CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AS WELL AS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT POSSIBLITIES

13 COMPLETION OF THE PRE- EMPLOYMENT ORIENTATION PROCESS UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE PRE-EMPLOYMENT ORIENTATION PROCESS, CANDIDATES WILL BE ISSUED A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION WHICH WOULD INDICATE TO POTENTIAL HEALTHCARE EMPLOYERS THE PERSONAL PREPARATION A CANDIDATE HAS ACHIEVED WHILE SEEKING A POSITION AS A DIRECT CARE WORKERUPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE PRE-EMPLOYMENT ORIENTATION PROCESS, CANDIDATES WILL BE ISSUED A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION WHICH WOULD INDICATE TO POTENTIAL HEALTHCARE EMPLOYERS THE PERSONAL PREPARATION A CANDIDATE HAS ACHIEVED WHILE SEEKING A POSITION AS A DIRECT CARE WORKER
