2 The GWS Slow Stick is an electric park flyer made by Grand-Wing Servotech. Its simplicity and easy-to-fly characteristics make it a great airplane for beginners. Out of the package, the Slow Stick uses three channels: throttle, elevator, rudder.With some simple modifications, ailerons can be added as a fourth channel to make a more nimble airplane Introduction

3 Summary T ž he goal of the project was to construct a Micro Air Vehicle based on the GWS Slow Stick Platform, with other parts designed in Creo Parametrics 1.0. It must be under 450 grams and capable of taking off and landing directed by a radio control A cost analysis and material list preparation made sure that the project followed the design specifications. The goal is to fly as many 8 paths around two pylons seperated by 50’ in 5 minutes.. For this, the plane must take off and land from the ground, be able to fly for the entire 5 minutes without needing to recharge the battery, and must stay within the boundary limits

26 Problems And Solutions Weight: The heavier it is, the more energy needed for thrust. (400 grams) Battery: Only lasts 5 minutes Propellor: Hair got stuck in the propellor of the trainer We had a very hard time with the assembly, and could not find any battery in stalk that would work with out plane

27 Performance We struggled with assembly and therefore did not get a chance to fly the Slow Stick
