2. 3rd NRC Meeting, 9-12 June 2008, Windsor 2 Selecting teachers with certainty There is a little checkbox in the WinW3S teacher editor: Some countries want to include all civics teachers in the teacher sample Checking this box will increase the number of teachers that will be sampled in the school Use consistently across schools Let us know which kinds of teachers are to be selected with certainty

3. 3rd NRC Meeting, 9-12 June 2008, Windsor 3 List the correct teachers Correct teachers to list: Teachers who teach in grade 8 in the school year By mistake, a school may list All their teachers (not only those of the target grade) Only the civic education teachers If in doubt, please contact the school coordinator

4. 3rd NRC Meeting, 9-12 June 2008, Windsor 4 Replacement schools in the MS Schools that refuse to participate should be replaced BUT: Schools that have been closed down should NOT be replaced Schools that do not have grade 8 students should NOT be replaced Reason: These schools represent other closed / ineligible schools in the sampling frame HOWEVER: If there are more than 10 of these schools, please contact the DPC
