Full pay – with 2 or more years aggregate service 2. Proportional – 1 or more but less than 2 years of service 3. Half-pay – less than 1 year of service b)Granted to married or unmarried female employees in every instance of pregnancy or suffering a miscarriage irrespective of its frequency. c)Can be enjoyed by adoptive parents if the adoptee is below 7 yrs. of age as of the date the child is placed with adoptive parents. a) 1. ASSIGNMENT MATERNITY LEAVE BENEFITS (continuation…) d)In UP, they shall be entitled to maternity leave of 6 months (2 months before and 4 months after delivery); PROVIDED such leave shall be subject to the provisions of Maternity Leave Law and authority / discretion of the President or the Chancellor but in no case shall the period of leave be less than 30 days before and 30 days after delivery

ASSIGNMENT PATERNITY LEAVE 7 working days a) With the condition that legitimate spouse has delivered a child or suffered a miscarriage. b)With more than one legal spouse shall be entitled to avail for an absolute maximum of 4 deliveries regardless of which ever spouse gives birth. c) Can be enjoyed by adoptive parents if the adoptee is below 7 years of age as of the date the child is placed with adoptive parents. ASSIGNMENT FACULTY SICK LEAVE CREDITS of 15 days per year reckoned from ORIGINAL date of regular appointment (Memo PERR No dated 10/30/07) and commutable ONLY upon compulsory retirement and / or in serious illnesses as defined by PhilHealth. SERVICE RECOGNITON PAY (1268 th BOR, 1 April 2011) Equivalent to 10 days per year of service - Granted to regular full time adm. & REPS in the plantilla who will be covered by compulsory retirement at age 65; also those who availed of optional retirement due to severe illness as defined by PhilHealth NONE

ASSIGNMENT SABBATICAL LEAVE WITH PAY (1 year) a)Has served the University not less than 6 consecutive years b) Has been in active service at least 2 years before sabbatical leave c) Is at least Associate Professor in the last 2 years. NONE

16 LEAVE BENEFITS AND PRIVILEGES OF UP EMPLOYEES FACULTY ADMINISTRATIVE and REPS FACULTY MEMBER with ADD'L. ASSIGNMENT d) Any vacation or sick leave without pay of more than five (5) months shall not be considered a break in the six-year period. e) Shall report back for service immediately after the sabbatical – understood to mean resumption of teaching duties or assumption of administrative assignment for at least two (2) years. NONE

ASSIGNMENT e) In no case shall the sabbatical be granted within two (2) years before the faculty member’s 65 th birthday. f) The start of the sabbatical should be synchronized with that of a regular semester/ trimester/quarter or summer, whichever is applicable, so that the date of report for service will coincide with, or be close to, the beginning of another semester/trimester/ quarter or summer. ASSIGNMENT LEAVE WITHOUT PAY (Vacation and Sick Leave Without Pay) The Chancellor may, upon recommendation of the Dean or Head of Office, may grant leave of absence without pay not to exceed 1 year at a time, PROVIDED it does not go BEYOND 2 CONSECUTIVE YEARS.
