7 Service for: –11 – 19 year olds –Cheshire Wide Support using: –Asynchronous/synchronous chat –Message boards (peer and professional) –Informative magazine and links –Direct link to other professionals

8 Putting it in Context Youth Friendly Counselling is a developing trend Internet use (particularly by young people) is incredibly popular Online counselling services for Y/P are beginning to develop (and be exploited)

10 Therefore Research is needed to develop an understanding of this practice –(is it ethical? Does it work? Can we do things better?) And the following question is adopted: What challenges are faced, and what developments are made by an emerging online counselling service for young people in the UK?
