6. Dr. Andy Girwarnauth, is a native of Guyana and established this ministry. God brought Kathleen into his life. They have three children: Naomi, Jennie, and Sam, who live in the U.S. while their parents serve in Guyana. In 1988, Andy and Kathy went to Guyana under UFM International, setting themselves a goal of planting 20 churches in 20 years. He formed a committees to involve this ministry with Partners in Evangelism and became PIEI national director for Guyana. He now works with a group of these churches known as the Association of Bible Churches in Guyana and he is also a member of IFCA International. Nationals whose training was assisted by PIEI are now assuming leadership in these churches. Our training school for national pastors is called the Solid Rock Theological Seminary and Berbice Bible Institute.
