Climate change Typical higher exam question: (4 Marks) The destruction of some forests has made us more aware of the benefits they can provide. Explain the value of a biome you have studied. What are the triggers in this question?
Biomes are very valuable to us as they have lots of uses and provide lots of benefits. Not only are they habitats to lots of different animals but they also provide materials that people rely on, including food, building materials and resources for medicines. Biomes such as rainforests regulate climate and when changed this can impact the hydrological cycle. Rainforests are a source of goods (wood for heating and cooking) for local native tribes as well as companies who make money.
