thou art inexcusable for thou that judgest doest the same things. Rom 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. Matt 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

he that is spiritual judgeth all things 1 Cor 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. judge righteous judgment. John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. if a man be overtaken in a fault Ga 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Rom 2:2 we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth Rom 2:2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. (The things talked about in Romans 1) Ps 96:13 Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth. Ps 98:9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

Re 19:11 ¶ And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. Rom 2:3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things (Romans 1), and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? it is appointed judgment Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: judgment seat of Christ. Ro 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. judgment seat of Christ 2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Judgment Seat of Christ for believers! 1 Cor 3:11 ¶ For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Great white throne Judgment for Lost People! a great white throne Rev 20:11 ¶ And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Or despisest Summary so far, “Think we are going to escape judgment?”, Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? Don’t think little of God’s patience and goodness toward you, to ignore confessing and forsaking of Sin Don’t think little of God’s patience and goodness toward you, to ignore confessing and forsaking of Sin. The purpose of God’s goodness is to lead you to repentance. “But after thy hardness…”Rom 2:5 “treasurest” Lost people despise God’s goodness and longsuffering by not getting saved!

Do we take for granted God’s goodness, forbearance, longsuffering? How about a wife’s or husband’s or parents,! How about a boss’s, teacher’s, a friend’s……..a Pastor’s Does it lead us to repentance or to do goodness to the one that is showing it to us? Ro 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. Matt 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. De 32:34 Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?35 To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence;…..

Rom 2:5 treasurest up unto thyself wrath Rom 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: PAYDAY SOMEDAY, What kind of treasures are you laying up? Job 34:11 For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways. Ps 62:12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work. Remember + Ro 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Rom 2:6 Rom 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

Psa 28:4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert. Jer 3:18 Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart. Eze 7:3 Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations. Mt 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Jer 17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Rom 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: God Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Rom 2:5 “…..treasurest up unto thyself…..” Rom 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: God renders to you what you treasurest up! OR

Rom 2:7 Rom 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: Rom 2:10 Jew firstGentile Rom 2:10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: Rom 3:11 there is no respect of persons with God Rom 3:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

Rom 2:12 Rom 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; 13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) 15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. 16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. 13 Rom 2:12 Rom 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; Who are those who have sinned without the Law? Who are those who have sinned in the Law? 1Co 9:20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; 1Co 9:21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

Rom 2:13 Rom 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15shew the work of the law written in their hearts, 15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) Two Chapters of Romans and Two reasons why Mankind is without excuse before God. 1.Creation Romans 1:18-22 2.Judeans and Gentiles both have law.

Thus how many have been justified by the doing the works of the Law? Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. 29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. 30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. 31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. Ro 9:32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

Rom 4:1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. imputeth 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. impute 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Gal 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen (Gentiles) through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Gal 3:21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. 22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. that we might be justified by faith 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

secrets men Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. Mt 10:26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. 1Co 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God. Lu 8:17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

2Ti 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 1Pe 4:5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. Joh 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: Joh 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Who paid the penalty of your Sin? Who shall Judge? Rom 2:16 judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Rom 2:17 restest makest thy boast of God Rom 2:17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God, Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus., in whom ye trust Joh 5:45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. 46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. Joh 7:19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? We be Abraham’s seed Joh 8:33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

Rom 2:17 restest boast18knowest his will approvest the things that are more excellentinstructed out of the law19art confident 20 form of the truth in the law Rom 2:17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God, 18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law; 19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, 20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law. form 2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. The word “Form” only used twice in New Testament Μόρφωσις = the mere form, semblance your wisdom sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. De 4:6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. What one word sums up Israel’s problem?

FAITH faithlove. Gal 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Remember Romans 2:4? Heb 10:29 Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Titus 2:11 Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Faith produces righteousness! believed(πιστεύω) Jas 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed (πιστεύω) God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ro 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: faith (πίστις) Ga 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith (πίστις), preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. Remember Romans 2:11 being ignorant of God’s righteousness going about to establish their own righteousness Rom 10:3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. THE PROBLEM

Faith produces righteousness by faith 1. Righteousness Ga 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith…6 but faith which worketh by love. sanctified by faith 2. Sanctification Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. justified by faith 3. Justification Ro 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. purifying their hearts by faith. 4. Purification of your heart Ac 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. churches established in the faith 5. Churches establish Ac 16:5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

Faith produces 6. Saved through Faith Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:.. your work of faith, and labour of love 7. 1Th 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; the just shall live by faith 8. Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. propitiation through faith in his blood 9. Ro 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Mathew 23 Μόρφωσις = the mere form, semblance 2 Tim 3:5

Any profanation or abuse of things peculiarly sacred to God; such as robbing the house of God Ro 2:2,3 Any profanation or abuse of things peculiarly sacred to God; such as robbing the house of God, or making it a den of thieves, # Mt 21:12,13; Ro 2:2,3. Rom 2:24 Rom 2:24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written. (Breaking of the third commandment) Eze 36:20 And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land.21 But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went. (Breaking of the third commandment)

Rom 2:25 Rom 2:25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. 26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? 27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? 28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
