4. Spiritual Vocabulary and God’s Washing Methods God cleanses the believer when he sends to holy ghost to those that have repented and believe in His incorruptible Word. This cleansing of sins can be extremely painful and is described in numerous ways in the bible. The believer is washed by the holy ghost; cleansed by the blood of Jesus; cleaned by the Word of God; burnt, purged and refined in fire; washed in water with soap; and the doctrine of Babylon is removed from them. A person is not a Christian until this washing happens. Only few (Mat 7:14, Luke 12:32, Mat 7:22) professing a belief in Jesus Christ experience salvation.
