7 Therefore, return the man’s wife to him now. He is a prophet, and he will pray for you, so that you will live. But if you don’t return her, know that you will certainly die — you and all who belong to you.” (CJB) Gen 27:7

Calling upon his name: 26 To Shet too was born a son, whom he called Enosh. That is when people began to call on the name of A DONAI. (CJB) Genesis 4:26 8 He left that place, went to the hill east of Beit-El and pitched his tent. With Beit- El to the west and ‘Ai to the east, he built an altar there and called on the name of A DONAI. (CJB) Genesis 12:8 קַרַה To Call, Proclaim, read aloud, recite, proclaim.

2 God spoke to Moshe; he said to him, “I am A DONAI. 3 I appeared to Avraham, Yitz’chak and Ya‘akov as El Shaddai, although I did not make myself known to them by my name, Yud-Heh-Vav-Heh [A DONAI ]. Exodus 6:2-3

“Let me first mention what I believe is a pre-requisite for prayer… You first need to have faith! If you do not believe that YHVH exists, and that He alone rules, what is the use in praying? Thus, you need to have faith in YHVH in order to want to have communion with YHVH. The more faith you have in Him, the more you come to rely on Him. This will lead you to want to spend more time in His presence. At the same time, I believe, the cycle works the other way as well. The more time you spend and the more things you bring before YHVH, the better your faith will become as you come to realize that you can rely on Him. For me this is a “No Loose” situation!” (Setapartpeople.com)

Shemot 33:13-14: 13 Now, please, if it is really the case that I have found favor in your sight, show me your ways; so that I will understand you and continue finding favor in your sight. Moreover, keep on seeing this nation as your people.” 14 He answered, “Set your mind at rest — my presence will go with you, after all.” (CJB) 2 “Thus said יהוה who made it, יהוה who formed it to establish it, יהוה is His Name, 3 ‘Call unto Me, and I shall answer you, and show you great and inaccessible matters, which you have not known.’ (The Scriptures 1998)

Philip 4:6-7 Do not worry at all, but in every matter, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to Elohim. And the peace of Elohim, which surpasses all understanding, shall guard your hearts and minds through Messiah יהושע. (The Scriptures 1998)

And Ḥannah prayed and said, “My heart rejoices in יהוה, my horn has been high in יהוה. My mouth is opened wide over my enemies, for I have rejoiced in Your deliverance. “There is no one set-apart like יהוה, for there is no one besides You, and there is no rock like our Elohim. “Do not multiply words so proudly, proudly; let no arrogance come from your mouth, for יהוה is an Ĕl of knowledge, and by Him deeds are weighed. “Bows of the mighty are broken, and those who stumble shall be girded with strength. “The satisfied have hired themselves out for bread, and the hungry have ceased. Even the barren has borne seven, and she who has many children pines away. “ יהוה puts to death and makes alive, He brings down to the grave and raises up. “ יהוה makes poor and makes rich, He brings low and lifts up. “He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the dunghill, to sit with princes, and make them inherit a throne of esteem. For the supports of the earth belong to יהוה, and He has set the world upon them. “He guards the feet of His kind ones, but the wrong are silent in darkness, for man does not become mighty by power. “Those who oppose יהוה are shattered, from the heavens He thunders against them. יהוה judges the ends of the earth, and gives strength to His sovereign, and exalts the horn of His anointed.”

10 (9) So King Daryavesh signed the document, and the decree became law. 11 (10) On learning that the document had been signed, Dani’el went home. The windows of his upstairs room were open in the direction of Yerushalayim; and there he kneeled down three times a day and prayed, giving thanks before his God, just as he had been doing before. (CJB) Daniel 6:10-11 John 11:41-42: 41 So they removed the stone. Yeshua looked upward and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I myself know that you always hear me, but I say this because of the crowd standing around, so that they may believe that you have sent me.” (CJB) Colossians 4:2 2 Keep persisting in prayer, staying alert in it and being thankful.

2 Chronicles 30:18-20: 18 For a large number of the people, especially from Efrayim, M’nasheh, Yissakhar and Z’vulun, had not cleansed themselves but ate the Pesach lamb anyway, despite what is written. For Hizkiyahu had prayed for them, “May Adonai, who is good, pardon 19 everyone who sets his heart on seeking God, Adonai, the God of his ancestors, even if he hasn’t undergone the purification prescribed in connection with holy things.” 20 Adonai heard Hizkiyahu and healed the people. 30 15 “Now, Adonai our God, who brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a strong hand, thereby winning renown for yourself, as is the case today — we sinned, we acted wickedly. 16 Adonai, in keeping with all your justice, please allow your anger and fury to be turned away from your city Yerushalayim, your holy mountain; because it is due to our sins and the wrongdoings of our ancestors that Yerushalayim and your people have become objects of scorn among everyone around us. 17 Therefore, our God, listen to the prayer and pleadings of your servant; and cause your face to shine on your desolated sanctuary, for your own sake. 18 My God, turn your ear, and hear; open your eyes and see how desolated we are, as well as the city which bears your name. For we plead with you not because of our own righteousness, but because of your compassion. 19 Adonai, hear! Adonai, forgive!
