9 Filtering Update Filtering Safeguards our Pupils and Staff from the unwanted areas of the internet. Any suspicious access is reported back to school or the police. How does this work? Generally URL Filtering..... However... Google are adding a virtual spanner in the works that in Jan 2015 they will move all of their traffic to SSL (HTTPS).

10 Address Logging SWGfL LOGS – – – Internet access can be tracked back to IP. Server logs can tract IP to User

11 Address Logging with NAT SWGfL LOGS – – – Internet access can be tracked back to only 1 IP. Internet provider can not show access from any specific machine. School would require advanced logging on NAT server to track IP to User, and User to Web Address

12 So what now? Get Quotes! Talk to DCC. Compare solutions – SLAs, Speeds, Availability, added extras … …. Start now… don’t wait until Feb / March….
