Duties included the inventory and Synchro analysis of this corridor between Village Green Drive and Lennard Road. Project Web Site Tri-Rail Double Track Corridor, South Florida Tri- Rail Double Track Corridor improvement Program, Segment 5 Project that will allow the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority/Tri-Rail to expand commute rail service to relieve South Florida’s congested highways while providing improved connectivity. Once completed, the Segment 5 Project will allow SFRT/Trail-Rail to run trains every 20 minutes during pea hours. This work included the review of existing safety conditions at 32 major crossing between Palm Beach, Broward and Dade County and the modification and expansion of signal. For this study, existing traffic data and observation of existing queues at these locations were observed and a simulation of the existing condition was developed using SimTraffic in order to duplicated the field observation. Truck Route Management and Community Impact Reduction, NY (NYCDOT). 1.Field investigation of existing truck route complaints by the Public, Community representatives and registered complaints within the City of New York. Aveccina Academy School, Yonkers, Westchester County, New York 1.Prepare Traffic Impact Study for a proposed private Aveccina Academy School. The study was requested by the City Planning Board to address existing and proposed traffic impact, off-street parking and to identify any mitigative measures that would minimize traffic flow congestion through the adjacent streets. Metropolitan Avenue Bridge, Queens/Brooklyn, New York 1.Prepare the first SPDES permit Form NY-2C “State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System” for the City of New York. This permit will allow the facility “The Bridge” to discharge into the English Kill Creek the surface water runoff and infiltration water collected in the PITS where the counterweight of this Bascular bridge falls into during the opening of the bridge. The bridge was built in 1933 and it is undergoing rehabilitation.

New Hempstead Road Improvement Project “Traffic and Safety Study Technical Memorandum”, Rockland County Highway Department, NY. 1.Prepared Technical Memorandum summarizing, the 2006 no build and 2006 build conditions traffic operations and safety conditions within the study corridor on New Hempstead Road between the PIP and NYS 304 in New City. Bus ramp signs and signals upgrade, New York. Project CLICKCLICK 1.Identified and recommended the signs and signals that required replacement for the Port Authority Bus Terminal Facility in mid-town Manhattan. 2.Replaced all Drum signs with VMSs. 3.Developed a web site to share real-time information between all consultants and the PANYNJ. This web site provided information of major updates, team directory, meeting schedule, pictures of each individual sign, stream video of the major structures under study and design information for the proposed 10 VMS’s location. 4.Prepared traffic control plans describing control measures to be used for facilitating road use through the work zone during construction on the vicinity of the Bus Terminal. Newark Airport Traffic Study, Newark, NJ. Land use and transportation project. 1.Developed future trip base on existing vacant land and unoccupied building along Frelinhuysen Avenue between Route 22 and Virginia Street. 2.Performed Capacity Analysis along this corridor and prepared recommendations for the overall project using Synchro and SimTraffic. American Airline Terminal, JFK, Queens County, NY. 1.Reviewed all proposed traffic signals on this project including phasing, and timing. 2.Inspected and approved traffic signal operation at the two new access points to the terminal, prior to activation. 3.Revised parking layout to comply with new PANYNJ security regulations after 9/11.

Mario Fiorillo – Transportation – Civil - Computers FIELD SURVEY: 1)The only “TRUCK ROUTE” sign posted at this critical point is at Farmers Boulevard NB with 109 th Street. This sign is hard to see and during the summer is probably obstructed by the foliage of some the trees in front of it. 2)A second sign located at 104 th Avenue encourage TRUCKS to remain on Farmers Blvd. until they reach the next truck route. Mario Fiorillo – Transportation – Civil - Computers Project Worksheet “A” This project is built around a community based approach where communities are given the opportunity to highlight how truck traffic impacts their communities. Business interests are also encouraged to participate in how Truck Routes affect their daily business. The goal of this initiative is to coordinate engineering, education, information, and enforcement efforts so that trucks remain on designated truck routes until reaching their destination, and so that they do not inappropriately utilize residential streets. Throughout the project, the Department and Consultants has held numerous public meetings to work with communities on highlighting the issues and concerns affecting their neighborhoods and each workshop was built around targeted study areas.
