The aims of the lesson: to expand vocabulary, to promote discussion, to improve reading and writing skills. The lesson is based on Ph. Delerm’s narrative “The smell of apples”.
What you need: apples, sticky notes, pens, a board, markers, the text “The smell of apples”
Activities before reading 1) A teacher shows an apple and asks a question: What is the first idea that comes to your mind when you see an apple? The learners write their opinions on the sticky notes and attach to the board.
