3 In 1241 Mongolians attacked Poland. People were starving… They robbed whole country, burnt villages and took people to captivity.

4 Queen Kinga decided to travel to Hungary to ask for her father‘s help.

5 Please, father, help me! Give my people something because the Mognolians burnt the villages… I think the salt mines of Máramaros will be good for your country.

6 Please God help my people and my country…

7 Meanwhile in the Wieliczka mine… The salt was found in Poland too. Her ring- which she had dropped in Máramaros salt mine- was found in the Polish mine.

8 The ring was given back to queen Kinga.
