The Book of Leviticus is very important – because Leviticus is not just concerned about what we believe, or what we think about our faith, but how we live out our faith.

Leviticus 1:1-9 “1 The Lord called to Moses and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting. He said, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When any of you brings an offering to the Lord, bring as your offering an animal from either the herd or the flock. 3 “‘If the offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he is to offer a male without defect. He must present it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting so that it will be acceptable to the Lord.

4 He is to lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him. 5 He is to slaughter the young bull before the Lord, and then Aaron’s sons the priests shall bring the blood and sprinkle it against the altar on all sides at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. 6 He is to skin the burnt offering and cut it into pieces.

7 The sons of Aaron the priest are to put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire. 8 Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, including the head and the fat, on the burning wood that is on the altar. 9 He is to wash the inner parts and the legs with water, and the priest is to burn all of it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.” – Leviticus 1:1-9

“By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.” – Exodus 13:21

“ 9 As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the Lord spoke with Moses. 10 Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to his tent.” – Exodus 33:9-10

“34 Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 35 Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud had settled upon it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.” – Exodus 40:34-35

“Don’t lose hope, for My very Presence will go with you, as I had for the last 4 years, and will forever do so.”

The most powerful thing is that God’s presence was with Vincent.

The first step of Discipleship is Worship, & 1. Worship enables us to enter into the Presence of God 2. Worship comes with a Price – God’s and ours 3. Worship helps us to receive the Peace of God Peace / Fellowship Offering a) Only the fat that covers the inner parts or connected to them, was burnt unto the Lord (Leviticus 3:14) b) It is the only sacrifice where the offerer / worshipper might eat a part (Leviticus 7:15-16)

“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.” Matthew 5:23-24

Do we have peace with others ? Do we have peace with ourselves ?

Our very first steps in Discipleship is to worship God and remember what He has done, to seek and enter His presence and to enjoy the peace He gives.

Leviticus 20:7-8 “ ‘Consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am the Lord your God. Keep my decrees and follow them. I am the Lord, who makes you holy.’”
