4 Lesson Plans are grouped by grade level: Grades K-2: Students will compare a series of real-life situations using the computer and face-to-face in order to create a set of “I know” safety statements. Grades 3-5: Students will evaluate a series of real-life situation using the computer in order to create a set of online safety rules. Grades 6-7: Students will evaluate a series of terrible text messages in order to learn how deal with these situations. Grades 8-9: Students will learn they have a digital footprint in order to comprehend that the information from it can be searched; copied and passed on; seen by a large, invisible audience, and can be persistent; appropriate information sharing. Grades 10-12: Students will learn they have a digital footprint in order to comprehend that the information from it can be searched; copied and passed on; seen by a large, invisible audience, and can be persistent; appropriate message posting practices.
