2 Sexual Abuse Prevention & Treatment (SAPT) Program Mission: To reduce the incidence of sexual abuse on children through community prevention, education and specialized treatment services

3 3 SAPT Program Description Specializing in the treatment of child and adolescent victims and families impacted by sexual abuse and with children exhibiting sexualized behaviors. Child-focused/family-centered program that uses group, individual, and family therapy in a combination uniquely tailored to the individual needs of each child and family. Treatment focuses on working collaboratively with the child and family's existing strengths and support so as to resolve the trauma, restore normal development, eliminate abusive behaviors and prevent the recurrence of sexual trauma. 5 5 Program Goals 1. Reduce the risk for sexual acting out behaviors 2. Support children remaining at home or the least restrictive setting possible, and with therapy and safety plans in place 3. Coordinate services between multiple providers for effective communication
