3 Andreas Ogrinz, 9 April 2013 Context  Europe 2020 strategy: “Agenda for New Skills and Jobs” Special focus on the analysis of labour markets in order to anticipate skills needs Conditions of success:  Competitive and creative companies  Highly skilled workforce with right skills mix  Education and training institutions responsive to labour market needs Important element of Europe 2020: establishment of European Sector Skills Councils (ESSC)  ECEG and industriAll Europe have been very active in the field of Education, Training and Lifelong Learning (see European Framework Agreement signed on 15 April 2011)
