Real Time Performance :- it completes all its tasks in given time period. Safety Critical :- aircrafts,lifts, space shuttles, medical instruments.

A Microcontroller is a complete computer on a single chip optimized to control electronic devices. A Microcontroller consists of RAM/ROM with flash memory on a single chip. It is a type of microprocessor emphasizing self- sufficiency and cost-effectiveness, in contrast to a general purpose microprocessor, the kind used in pc.
It is a 40 pin IC known as pic microcontroller and manufactured by MICROCHIP TECHNOLOGY INCORPORATED. It is new generation microcontroller with enhanced features from earlier versions of microcontrollers. PIC family has many microcontrollers and pic18f458 is one them.

PROJECT TITLE :- Device Control By Timer. DESCRIPTION:- This project is designed to control the electronic devices by a digital clock. To control a device or to make that device on or off at a desired time interval, we have to set the time in project with help of four buttons provided for interfacing between with user and kit.
