2 Step 1: Read the prompt carefully before you begin. Writing Situation: Your teacher punishes the whole class because one student misbehaved. How do you feel about this? Think about reasons you feel this way. Directions for Writing: W rite a narrative essay explaining how you feel about this situation.

3 Step 2: Take a stand. Think about the story you are going to tell that relates to the prompt.

16 Summary Paragraph As you can see, my eighth birthday was a most memorable celebration. The party at the zoo, a delicious cake, and a special gift made it a memorable birthday. I think it was a superb way to remember the day I was born.

17 Don’t Forget!! Use formal language Use vivid action verbs and modifiers ALWAYS INCLUDE DIALOGUE!!!
