4 Prepare for the Meeting Set date, time, and location of meeting Regularly scheduled meetings allow for advanced planning Send reminder notice at least 1 week before meeting Send agenda at least 1 – 2 days before meeting Require confirmation of attendance

5 Set a Robust Agenda Send agenda at least 1 – 2 days before meeting – Include supporting documents – Every board member has bylaws and chapter agreement and manual Assign responsibility for every item Encourage additions and input Do a preliminary call/correspondence with exec committee and/or participating board members
