2 Kentucky Farmers’ Market A farmers’ market is defined as a prescribed location (s) where two or more producers gather on set days and times to sell products that they grow or produce directly to consumers.

4 KDA’S ROLE Kentucky Proud Member Approved location for: –Sale of Home-based Processed/Microprocessed value- added food items –Farmers’ market temporary food-service permit –Sale of Kentucky produced wine Eligible to participate in the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program Eligible to participate in the WIC program Kentucky Proud cost share promotional items Advertising & market development cost-share programs Receive updates and information on changing regulations
