2 week course for teachers of English at secondary level SOUTHAMPTON, UK 11-23.08.2013 Using New Technologies in Language Learning & Motivation for learning & Learning-To-Learn Skills
The course was offered by International Study Programmes I was awarded a grant by ANPCDEFP Romania.

After a workshop on Shakespeare’s theatre, we went to London to watch Macbeth at the Globe
Workshops on Using new technologies with Graham Workman How to create a wiki (wikispaces.com) How to make a glog (posters) (www.glogster.com) How to make a prezi How to make short videos (www.Animoto.com) How to use videos from Youtube and make/use provided lesson plans
We also designed board games…for internet connection failures!
We discussed TBL lessons and were indicated useful websites. 101 + Teaching Tipsnot much technology here, but some very interesting ideas 150 Teaching MethodsDifferent Methods that can be used in the classroom Annenberg MediaVideo on Demand - registration required but it is free - Educational video programs with coordinated Web and print materials for K-12 teachers. Most are for teacher development rather than classroom instruction. You can search by discipline and grade.

Educational visits We went on a guided tour around the city, a mixture of old and new: the Romans, the Saxons, the Normans, the Brits, they all contributed to it. The WW 2 left its imprint but the city is nice all the same.
