1. Deleting worksheets from the workbook There are times when we may want to delete a worksheet from the workbook. Sometimes I add a worksheet as a temporary storage place for some work and want to delete the worksheet when I am finished. More commonly, when you create a new workbook, you may find more worksheets than you need because Excel includes a specified number (which you can change) of new worksheets when it creates a workbook. To delete a worksheets from the workbook, we use the Delete Sheet command, available on both the main menu and the popup menu produced by right clicking on a worksheet tab. If a worksheet contains no data, it will be immediately deleted. If a worksheet contains data, a confirmation dialog is displayed and will only be deleted if confirmed. The Delete Sheet command is not undoable. To demonstrate deleting sheets, we will delete Sheet2 and Sheet3 from a workbook. Note: the delete and backspaces keys have the active cell as their target and will not delete a worksheet.
