Electronic Table of Contents When you open a document in HeinOnline, an electronic table of contents is loaded and can be accessed from the tab menus The detail included in a table of contents varies by library and content being accessed It allows you to quickly jump from one section of an article or document to another within the same publication

Browsing the Content Once you have opened a document or article in HeinOnline, there is a page toolbar displayed This provides you with various options for viewing and working with the content: –Text allows you to view the raw text behind the image based PDF –Citation – displays the citation of the current document/article –Save/Bookmark – allows you to save the current document into your MyHein account –Page forward/backward and drop down menu allow you to move from one page to another –Printer Icon – opens the print/download options –Search Icon – allows you to search for a term on the current page or in the current section –Rotate left/right – great tool for pages that have charts –Zoom in/Zoom out – good for documents such as the Congressional Record which are printed in smaller font –Permalink – useful when trying to email a link to a colleague because it creates a permanent URL

Hein’s ScholarCheck This tool allows a researcher to view articles that have a heavy influence on the subject being studied It indicates the quantity of articles that cite an article and links the researcher to all the articles, thus connecting the web of scholarly influence in a given subject area It also allows us to analyze and present most-cited materials across various disciplines, such as the most-cited authors in HeinOnline’s Law Journal Library or the most-cited Supreme Court Cases in HeinOnline
