13 Benefits Manager roles prior to GFC  80 % of all Benefits Manager roles were focussed on operational management of benefit schemes. Typical responsibilities would have been: – Maintain & regularly review the company‘s benefit scheme – Ensure compliance of the company‘s benefit scheme – Promote the company‘s benefit scheme – Take part in relevant market surveys  Benefits management often “non-strategic“ management of standard offering.

14 The New Role evolved in the last number of years  65 % of all Benefits Manager roles have a strategic nature. Typical additional responsibilities are: – Support/lead of the development of the company‘s benefit scheme – Redesign of the company‘s benefit scheme – Global alignment of the company‘s benefit scheme
