2 Brief Information About Blaise Pascal M athematician Blaise Pascal was born on June 19, 1623, in Clermont-Ferrand, France. In 1642, he invented the Pascaline, an early calculator. Also in the 1640s, he validated Torricelli's theory concerning the cause of barometrical variations. In the 1650s, Pascal laid the foundation of probability theory and published the theological works Pénsees and Provinciales. Pascal died in Paris on August 19, 1662.

5  I choose Blaise Pascal because he is a man of our today’s world although he lived in 17 th century  My Great Thinker makes him GREAT because he influence many people to study more about mathematics

6  Blaise Pascal is a critical thinker that uses his heart as well as his mind. That’s why he gives impact in the world.  Blaise Pascal is one of my inspiration. He reminds me of my mother who gives me more strenght to succeed in life.

7  I think Blaise Pascal will be amazed and grateful, because of his invention he influenced many people living in our today’s world.  If I would be given a chance to ask him a question that would be “ Mr. Pascal who gave you the idea or what inspire you to make a very useful invention?”.

8  For me it is a big different, it may affect our future but GOD will appoint someone to do the task.  I should planned those things I want to do. To have a critical thinking I’ll use it with all my heart.

9  Great Thinkers are so important to the world simply because they give fair minded consideration to others point of view.
