73 Touch and risk Touch is crucial to getting the brain alive. The power of touch stays with us all of our lives. But just what does it do?

74 Here’s one experiment. Two researchers at Columbia U designed an experiment where participants were greeted by either a male or a female and then touched unobtrusively. The experiment was designed to explore financial risk- taking behaviour.
