Chemistry Test Outline: Facts about Atoms Bohr Diagrams Electron Diagrams How to draw them Ions Positive & Negative Ionic Compounds How to combine compounds Electron Sharing
Chemistry Outline: Acids What are they? What do they do? How are they used and what effects do they have? Bases Same questions as acids Salts Same questions as acids Bunsen Burners Set up How to use Pieces
Chemistry Test Date: January 10 th, 2012 Last period of day
Test Format: Part 1: True False questions (20pts) Part 2: Multiple Choice (20-25pts) Part 3: Diagrams (30-40pts) Include atoms Include Bunsen Burner Include Ionic Compounds
Bunsen Burner Safety: Check all equipment prior to connecting it. Wear goggles. Get a safety mat (if available) and put it near a gas tap, away from the edge. Put the Bunsen Burner in the centre of the mat.
How to light a Bunsen Burner: 1) Put the gas tube on the gas tap. 2) Make sure that the air hole is closed. 3) Light a match or have sparkler ready. 4) Turn on the gas tap. 5) Light from the side of the chimney
