14-15 Waiver has been approved. Double Testing waiver for math provision in place Next application due in March – USDOE is offering a 4 year waiver. Will create Priority and Focus list based on results of 14-15 school year data, and submitted by January 31, 2016.
New Interventions won’t begin until districts and schools are identified New waiver will run through the 19-20 school year Will create new Priority schools and Focus districts/schools, and still have LAP schools. Metrics will change somewhat for each Need to do something with “hold-over” schools, aka “out of time” schools
Wants to tweak ID methodology for schools and districts, such as making the system more transparent Sunset “growth to proficiency.” Less that 2% of students get credit for being on track and it has had no impact on school accountability Bump up kids that didn’t score at L3 on ELA if student passes CTE assessment. PTECH and Smart Schools – New program records, grad requirements 4 or 6 years
