Introduction The Ancient Egyptians were one of the most important civilizations of the past. They were famous for tombs, monuments, mummification and pyramids. The Ancient Egyptians lived along the banks of the River Nile. The Ancient Egyptians lived around 5000 BC.
The River Nile It is the longest river in the world. The floods come from snow falls in Ethiopia. The Ancient Egyptians caught fish from the Nile. It helped them farm by giving them rich soil. They caught fish in the river Nile
How do we know We know that the Ancient Egyptians wore makeup because we have found pictures on walls and tombs. Tombs were excavated by archaeologists. They also found traces of food in pottery and tombs.
How many hieroglyphs were there? There are more than 700 hieroglyphs. Hieroglyphs were Egyptian writing using pictures. We know how to translate them from the Rosetta stone.
Gods Anubis was god of mummification. Bes was god of pregnant woman. Isis was god of protection.
