Carol Talbot, Ph.D.
was as thrilling as when I was in elementary school in Winter Haven, Florida and the school bus driver stopped on the way to school one day so we could watch one of the first rockets go up.
Our cottage on Topsail Island is ½ mile from one of the remaining observation towers where ramjet engines were tested, Operation Bumble Bee, the precursor to Cape Canaveral/Kennedy.

A fellow teacher, Diane Crain, attended NASA Educational Workshop for Math and Science Teachers (NEWMAST at Huntsville) in 1988 and still uses her experiences and camp photo to teach her students and colleagues.
