T&D Europe members provide the full range of grid technologies, including advanced, smart systems suitable for interaction with renewable energies and ICT (Information & Communication Technologies). T&D Europe is the voice of the manufacturing industry of electrical equipment and systems for transmission and distribution of electrical energy in Western Europe and is gradually expanding into Central and Eastern Europe.

Provides industry’s response to a number of policy issues in the EU that affect the electrical and electronics engineering sector. The industry represented in T&D EUROPE was identified as an important sector in developing and manufacturing which merits a policy dialogue analyzing future strengths and weaknesses to be addressed in the longer term. A follow up initiative “Electra 2” is currently under preparation with Orgalime and the European Commission DG ENTR
