9 Nomenclature | 10 TYPE NAME VAV Reheat 6” Brief description denoting size / capacity/type as easily identified & understood (description is based on your discretion but should at minimum include sizes or dimensions for example 2’x 2’, 6”, 8” 1.5’ x 3’, 10” etc.) “Reheat 6” ” U.S. National CAD Standards “VAV” + + If the abbreviation for a piece of equipment is not listed in the National CAD Standards, use the abbreviation used in your equipment/component schedules instead. For example, a “Fan Powered Box” would be abbreviated as “FPB”, Use abbreviations as universally understood in the industry

10 Nomenclature | 11 TYPE DESCRIPTION VAV with Reheat Price SDV 6” Extended description denoting manufacturer/model/size / type as easily identified & understood “with Reheat Price SDV 6” ” Type Name + “VAV” + Populating this parameter, “Type Description” is a requirement. Filling in the fields, however, is up to your discretion. You may enter an added description here to supplement Type Names for the purpose of clarity or leave it blank

11 Nomenclature | 12 INSTANCE NAME VAV-D01 ID unique to that component as identified in the equipment / component schedules For example, Tag Number “D01” “D01” U.S. National CAD Standards “VAV” If the abbreviation for a piece of equipment is not listed in the National CAD Standards, use the abbreviation used in your equipment/component schedules instead. For example, a “Fan Powered Box” would be abbreviated as “FPB”, Use abbreviations as universally understood in the industry
