Welfare Society Station Reps, Roving Reps, Regional Reps and office staff will look after members and their families ensuring that they get the benefits they are entitled to. A:Anyone who has a close association With the Fire Service and is approved as a Member by the Board. Q: How much does it cost? A:Only $3.00 per week. Q: How do I pay? Q: What happens when I turn 60, can I remain a member of the Welfare Society? A: YES when you reach the age of 60 you pay only ½ the contribution and the Funeral Benefit ceases. A: When your children reach 19, they can apply to become members themselves and get full member Benefits. Q: If I die will my family be looked after? Inside the folder are all the forms and information that you will need to become a member of the NZ Fire Fighters Welfare Society. First you need to fill out the application form. If you are NOT paid by the Fire Service, then you will need to fill out a Direct Debit form.

26 New Zealand Firefighters Welfare Society For more information visit Membership Once you have filled out your application form and it has been signed & approved by a Board member/Regional Rep, you are a member in your own right under the rules of the Society. Once we receive your first contribution payment your are then a full member of the Society under the rules.
