About NAMI Nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization Dedicated to improving the lives of persons living with serious mental illness and their families In every state and in over 1100 local communities Advocacy, research, support, and education.
What do they do? Public education and information activities Family and consumer peer education and activities Advocacy on behalf of people living with mental illness and for the health of our community Visible public events that raise funds and awareness

The National Office Support to NAMI's state and affiliate members Governs the NAMI corporation Engages in advocacy, education and leadership development nationally Strong presence on Capitol Hill in Washington DC Sub-groups: –Policy Department –Multicultural Action Center –Children & Adolescent Action Center –Center on Law and Criminal Justice
