What is Financial Intelligence? Definition Financial intelligence is the study of how to create, accumulate and protect residual streams of income. ~ Money Secrets (2008) One who is financially intelligent practises emotional control and financial discipline at all material times. ~ Basic Financial Intelligence (2012)

A ground-breaking education This course, as embodied in the definition of financial intelligence, is the first-of-its-kind in the world. The contents of this course has so far not been taught any education institution in any country. A knowledge of this subject will help solve all money problems in the world!

What are the money problems today? Individuals More than 90% of the world’s population belong to the poor and middle-class. Corporations 90% of businesses fail within the first 5 years. Countries Many of the biggest countries in the world including the US and Europe are on the verge of bankruptcy.

How do we go about solving all these problems? Financial intelligence, as defined earlier, would be able to solve these money problems. Financial intelligence has been used by the richest and most successful individuals and corporations throughout the centuries. A study of this subject, together with the wealth formula, would make individuals and corporations well-informed and motivated to work harder for financial success.

Why are definitions important? Before we discuss any topic, we need to have common terms of reference.

Problems arising from lack of financial intelligence:- (Factors that affect an employee’s contribution to the Company) More than 90% of population of any country consists of the poor and middle-class. Problems of the poor - worry about loss of income upon sickness or death Problems of the middle-class - worry about debt (housing loans, car loans, personal loans, credit card debt, consumer credit instalments). This results in health problems (hypertension, heart attacks, cancer), marital problems (quarrels, low sex drive and divorce), family problems (lack of time for children), work problems (cannot concentrate, getting upset with colleagues, stress, cheating and fraud). Problems with corporation - lack of steady income and growth, no systems in place like McDonald's (SOP or modus operandi), taking unnecessary risks to ensure growth, fraud and manipulation of accounts. National and international problems - lack of fiscal restraint led to problems in the US (subprime) and Europe (Greece bankruptcy).

The Story of Financial Intelligence

The Formula for Wealth and Financial Freedom (applicable to personal, corporations and countries) Save and Invest

Examples of how the Formula is used (a corporation and an employee’s awareness of factors that contribute to growth and profitability. Systems not only help to cut cost and increase revenue, they allow businesses to grow much bigger and stronger.) Individuals - Property, stocks and business investments such as franchise Corporations - Property (Naza, See Hoy Chan, IOI, PPB, Genting). Stocks - institutions like EPF, Tabung Haji, PNB invest in shares. Business - opening branches, expanding overseas (Genting, Public Bank, Maybank, CIMB, construction companies) Countries - Property 1MDB, 100-storey tower, KLIA, Cyberjaya, KLCC, KL Financial Centre, Infrastructure like highways, bridges, causeways. Stocks - Govt don't invest directly in shares, but through GLCs like EPF, PNB, etc. Business (Petronas, Fortune 500 company) oil exploration Singapore - property HDB flats, infrastructure, airports, invested in casinos, business Temasek.

The main factor of business success (predicting correctly what customers need) Statistics 90% of companies fail within the first five years. 90% of companies that survive within the first five years will fail in the next five years. The main reason for business failure is failure in marketing. ~ Money Secrets Marketing is all about having a unique selling proposition or USP. Businesses that succeed have one thing in common – they offer something for their customers that they cannot get anywhere else. Management and staff should work together to ensure that customers continue to enjoy the privilege of patronising your premises. While striving to fulfill customers needs, it is critical that corporations should keep a close eye on what competitors are offering.

Why employees don't succeed (Factors that influence how you do your job) Lack of right mental attitude positive thinking and outlook hard-working financial discipline humble and teachable resourceful emotional control - fear and greed low EQ - cannot get along with colleagues Opinions Viruses in our money world Money makes money No risk no gain No big frog theory
