3. Smarter Balanced – Grades 3-8  Replacing WKCE for English Language Arts (ELA) & Math  March 30 – May 22, 2015  Two parts: a computer adaptive test, and performance tasks that will be taken on a computer but will not be computer-adaptive.

WI Testing Changes for High School  Aspire (replaced Explore & Plan)  9th Grade (Fall & Spring), 10th Grade (Spring)  Computer based assessment  English, Reading Writing, Science, Math  ACT – 11th Grade (March)  Required for all 11th grade students  Free, used as State Assessment  Accepted by colleges and universities  (if no accommodations or if using ACT approved accommodations)

7. Also for 2014-15  The 12 th grade has been chosen to take the NAEP (National exam)  This will take place around the Jan-Feb timeframe
