09-2857 Border Wait Time Test, Evaluation and Deployment of Automated, Real-Time Technologies Status Update – October 2011
09-2857 2 Deployment Activities - Status In Field Installation: Installation of readers at Peace Bridge and Queenston-Lewiston Bridge are complete. Wait time software is being modified to incorporate new mid-bridge reader at Peace Bridge-expected to be updated by 10/30/2011. Upstream installations for 2 hour wait time detection: Installation requirements are being discussed with jurisdictional agencies – Installs expected during November-December 2011 timeframe. System Testing and Acceptance: Planning with CBP contractor RTR Technologies is ongoing for calibration data collection and acceptance benchmark data collection. Data collection and analysis/acceptance activities to be conducted in November-December 2011 timeframe.
09-2857 5 Deployment Activities - Status Data Dissemination: Secure virtual ftp web site has been established to enable transfer of wait time measurements to agencies. Technology vendor, FreeAhead, has provided xml schema and documentation to agencies to enable their development of routines for accessing and retrieving the wait time data from the virtual server. Technical support to agencies for data access is continuing and will be expanded to upstream jurisdictional agencies. Web access to wait times is available by internet at: http://bwt1.blufaxweb.com/blufaxrt/login.hdo http://bwt1.blufaxweb.com/blufaxrt/login.hdo
