3 FOLLOW YOUR INNER CONVERSATION/VOICE  This reminds me of the pilgrims because they also sailed to the United States  I wonder if this book is about slavery II wonder why the soldiers came to his or her village  Maybe there is a raid on the village  I’m guessing the kid doesn’t know where the US is because they weren’t so famous back then II’m absolutely sure this is set in the 1940’s because they had a motor on their boat and there are soldiers around  Maybe the father is referring to segregation and the kids don’t know about segregation
