2 QUESTIONS Aren’t I part of this team? Aren’t you our leader? Isn’t he the only male in our group? Isn’t she the secretary? Isn’t it an exclusive club? Aren’t we part of the group? Aren’t you a member of the team? Aren’t they members, too?

3 QUESTIONS Don’t I belong to this group? Don’t you want me here? Doesn’t he ever give up? Doesn’t she want to join? Doesn’t it seem unfair? Don’t we have any refreshments? Don’t you want to join us? Don’t they have an agenda for today?

4 QUESTIONS Wasn’t I clear enough? Weren’t you there when the fight started? Wasn’t he one of those who started the fight? Wasn’t she punished for her mistake? Wasn’t it clear enough? Weren’t we included in the list? Weren’t you there when it happened? Weren’t they present when the police arrived?

8 QUESTIONS Must not = mustn’t She mustn’t come near him. Should not = shouldn’t You shouldn’t even be here. Ought not to = use this non-contracted form rather than ‘oughtn’t’ We ought not to use ‘oughtn’t’ in formal communication.
