Matthew 5:13-15Matthew 5:13-15 13 “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. 14 “You are the light of the world- like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
2 Kings 2:20-222 Kings 2:20-22 20 Elisha said, “Bring me a new bowl with salt in it.” So they brought it to him. 21 Then he went out to the spring that supplied the town with water and threw the salt into it. And he said, “This is what the Lord says: I have purified this water. It will no longer cause death or infertility.” 22 And the water has remained pure ever since, just as Elisha said.
Holiness in the Scriptures is not based upon our knowledge. It is based upon the resurrected Christ dwelling IN us and changing us INTO His likeness.
Numbers 18:19Numbers 18:19 All the holy contributions that the people of Israel present to the Lord I give to you, and to your sons and daughters with you, as a perpetual due. It is a covenant of salt forever before the Lord for you and for your offspring with you.
Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do what is right.
