Question Once you have sold your house to John, can you use it for your personal benefit one month later? If you decide not to sell your house to John and one month later a natural disaster occurs and you had no insurance, can you expect John to pay you for you house?
Verse from the Quran “Verily God has purchased from the believers their persons and their property that paradise might be theirs.” Quran 9:111 Tonight we will be looking in to how profitable and honourable it is to sell one’s person and property to God.
Five Profits The First Profit: Transient property becomes everlasting. The Second Profit: High price of paradise is given in exchange. The Third Profit: The value of each limb and each sense is increased a thousandfold.
Five Profits cont. The Fourth Profit: Man is weak and helpless with numerous needs and enemies. He will be saved from torments, pains, etc. or from turning into a beast. Fifth Profit: At any time of need and desperation, you will be helped regardless of the circumstance.
Five Losses The First Loss: You will lose you property. Your life, youth and family will vanish and be lost. The Second Loss: You will suffer the penalty for betrayal of trust. The Third Loss: You would have insulted God’s wisdom by using precious tools on worthless matters bringing yourself to a level lower than animals.
Five Losses cont. The Fourth Loss: You will suffer by placing the heavy burden of life on your weak shoulders. You will constantly suffer from the pains uncertainty and separation. The Fifth Loss: To transform all the beautiful faculties like your intelligence, heart, eyes, tongue, etc. into worthless tools.
Conclusion Now is it so difficult to sell your trust back to God? Our limits are broad and duties imposed upon us are light and few in number. So what is our excuse?
