10. IC Benefits Research shows that IC allows for improved roller passes. More consistent passes that matched the optimum pass count established in the control strip were applied. More consistent roller coverage will result in reduced variability in density.

12. Accomplishments 34 states are implementing IC, 3 lead states (CA, TX, and MN), 29 projects completed in 2013, 44 projects are to be constructed in 2014, 10 demo projects are complete, 6 pilot projects have been completed, and 18 states developed specifications for IC.
