9. Importance of application The SelectaDNA marking solution is a high-strength adhesive but it does not penetrate the surface of the item Items should be marked in areas which are difficult to reach so that removal is virtually impossible.

10. UV Tracer Once dry the solution is not visible. The UV Tracer allows the Police to locate the marking by scanning an item with a UV-light - the mark fluoresces blue.

11. IDENTIFIER 1: Microcodes For Immediate ID 1000’s of Microcodes in the solution can be read under a microscope to show our database website address and a unique customer code.

12. IDENTIFIER 2: Microcodes wrapped in synthetic DNA The solution containing the Microcodes consists of a unique synthetic DNA which can be used, identically almost to human DNA, for identification of ownership.
