6 Marriage defined... “Love has become something that is defined more by romance than Romans, identified more with sensuality that scripture. When marriages fail to deliver Hollywood-love-story results, couples often begin to feel they are missing out. Believers have learned to define love in a one-dimensional reality: “How do you feel?” Yet, to stop at a “feelings” definition alone is certain to cripple anyone who commits him/herself to another in marriage, friendship, or any other type of intimate human interaction. It’s a sure disappointment since feeling “in love” may vary month to month, and in some cases, day to day.” Jeremy Lelek LPC, Association of Biblical Counselors Journal August 2006
