What is non-verbal communication Nonverbal communication, or body language, is a vital form of communication—a natural, unconscious language.
Categories of non-verbal communications 1.Personal space 2.Gesture 3.Position
Personal space the distance which people feel comfortable approaching others or having others approach them Intimate space Personal space Social space Different in every culture
Gesture Deliberate movements and signals are an important way to communicate meaning without words. Common gestures include waving, pointing, and using fingers to indicate numeric amounts. Other gestures are arbitrary and related to culture.
Position A person's bodily stance communicates a rich variety of messages. Slouching posture Confident posture
