7.50 CONDUCT A RESEARCH PROJECT DRAWING ON SEVERAL RESOURCES TO INVESTIGATE THE TUDOR DYNASTIES OF HENRY VIII, MARY I, AND ELIZABETH I, INCLUDING THEIR FAMILY HERITAGE, LINE OF SUCCESSION, RELIGIOUS CONFLICTS, SPANISH ARMANDA, AND THE RISE OF ENGLISH POWER IN EUROPE. Tudor Dynasty
Instructions Each student will create a 5 page foldable on the 5 main monarchs of the Tudor dynasty. You will be working individually to complete the foldable using the information I have provided. Please take your time and do it right the first time. This activity will be your notes on the Tudor Dynasty for the test on Friday. It is due in your folder Friday March 6 th before your test.
Requirements of the Project It must be neatly written and labeled ( 10 points) It must be colorful. (10 points) It must be a 5 page foldable (10 points) It must be turned in on time (5 points) It must be your own work (5 points) All six questions answered fully. (60 points) 100 points total = BIG Project GRADE!!!
Activity/Project Each page will contain the following information: A drawing of the monarch Birth and death date Parents: Religion: Spouse: 2 Legacies from his/her reign:
How to Make the Foldable Get out four sheets of paper and clear your desk besides something to write with. One sheet of paper will be for you to take notes on. Layer the other three sheets as follows: Lay one sheet on your desk. Lay the second sheet on top of the first sheet so that you can see the last 4 lines of paper. Do the same with the third sheet on top of the second sheet. Make sure the edges are lined up on both sides. Fold all three papers in half so that you leave four lines showing. (see mine before you make a crease)
Label Your Foldable (When closed) On the very top flap write: Tudors Dynasty Foldable 7.50 On the next flap write: Edward VI Then: Elizabeth I Then: Henry VII Then: Henry VIII Finally: Mary I Now make sure you are completing the information under the correct flap!!!! (It would stink to start over and neatness does count.)
Write on Your Notes Page Divide your paper into three sections on the front and two on the back. Write the following information in each section. Monarch: Birth and death date: Parents: Religion: Spouse: Legacy 1 from his/her reign: Legacy 2 from his/her reign:
Note! You have to find two legacies of each monarch. In order for you to understand what that monarch’s legacies are, you will have to understand where they started and why they created such legacies. You will not be able to simply pick two facts. You WILL have to read the material first. So I shouldn’t see anyone writing anything until they read through the whole article.
NOTE!!!! Do NOT start drawing until you have ALL of the information for all of the people given that day. That way you won’t run out of time because you were working on your drawing. Make sure you write the information on your notes page first so that you can transfer the information neatly onto your foldable. So, I shouldn’t see any drawings until I see all the information in your foldable each day.
